Yuplay.com has released a demo of Wings of Prey the successor to the impossibly brililant IL2: Sturmovik. The demo features a tutorial and two campaign missions. The game itself was released on the 25th December 09 and we've just got our hands on a copy of it, while we're working our way through it for a review we highly recommend trying out the demo.

The demo plays very similarly to the Birds of Prey demo released on consoles earlier last year, but the PC version promises a more robust multiplayer, enhanced graphics and wide simulation choices. I have to say that this is one of the most beautiful games I've seen, the PC version is far superior to the console especially in the full game which allows for much higher resolution textures than the demo offers, if your PC can't handle that though the game scales down very nicely for older machines with even the low graphics settings still looking gorgeous.

I've you've never played a filght sim before I heartily recommend playing this game on 'arcade' setting, this setting makes the flight controls instantly accesable and fun while still providing a challenge, the external camera is perfect and the controls map to the 360 controller very well. A review is forthcoming over the next couple of weeks.
